Data 

Speedwell Weather Derivatives (SWD) is able to provide:

• Historical weather data for many thousands of sites world wide from our catalogue.
• Historical weather data to satisfy specific requests.
• Real time feeds of weather data.
• A proprietary "Recalibrated Dataset" for a number of important weather reference sites where historical data is adjusted for discontinuities to rebase the time series to current conditions. SWD is also able to provide Recalibrated Datasets at client request for other sites.
• Live Station Event Monitoring. An important adjunct to the Recalibrated Dataset, the station monitor tracks the relationship between a weather reference site and a synthetic proxy to provide advanced warning of changes at the site.
  

Forecasts

SWD provides a fully downscaled probabilistic weather forecast covering 15 day, monthly and seasonal periods. Based on the output of the European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF) and the UK Met Office's site-specific model, these are available as full multi-member forecasts  via FTP site for ingestion into proprietary models and are also available on line through the Speedwell forecast viewing tools. These tools allow the user to generate forecasts presented graphically in different ways, permitting overlay, verification, viewing of climatology and viewing of archived forecasts.
